Fall

Fire & Water

Fall is a great time go exploring, especially mid to late October, when the leaves are at their peak, the skies are more dramatic and the air is clearer than ever. I had some fishing enthusiast friends visiting from PA, so we set out in search of the ultimate fish destination. We trekked through lots woods & grazing meadows, then finally ended up at Teeter Pond, just a few miles from where I grew up. The most stunning & secluded place, I could not believe I lived so close, and never knew it existed. Being a tour guide is great for a few days. You sort of see everything with fresh eyes, and can discover some hidden gems that might otherwise never be stumbled upon. The fishing at that pond was completely unsuccessful, (one of the Alex’s did catch a small but very tasty bass at a place I know as tried & true), however we did find a gnarly old apple tree that was loaded with perfectly flawless, crisp, juicy apples, the sweetest I had ever tasted.
